SHRIMP FIESTA | |
12 oz. bottle of beer 1/2 onion 1 sprig parsley 1 lemon wedge 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. salt 2 lb. raw shrimp, peeled & deveined 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 8 oz. can tomato sauce 1/4 c. chopped scallions 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce 1/4 tsp. nutmeg Pinch of sugar Bring beer, onion, parsley, lemon, bay leaf and salt to a boil. Add shrimp and bring to boil again. Simmer 5 minutes. Drain and save liquid. Melt butter in skillet. Stir in flour until bubbly. Stir in shrimp liquid and rest of ingredients until mixture boils and thickens slightly. Stir in shrimp and heat thoroughly. Serve with hot buttered noodles. Serves 4-6. |
