NO - KNEAD CINNAMON ROLLS | |
1/2 c. scalded milk 3 tbsp. shortening 3 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt Cool to lukewarm with 1/2 cup cold water. Add dry yeast with 1/4 cup cold water. (1 package) Blend in egg, gradually add 3 1/4 cup sifted flour. Mix well. Cover and let stand 15 minutes. Roll out on floured board to 18" x 12". Spread with 2 tablespoons melted butter and sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Roll as jelly roll. Cut into 3/4 - 1" pieces and place in 9 inch square pan (buttered). Let rise till double in bulk in warm place about 1 hour. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes. Frost with confectioners sugar and sprinkle with walnuts. |
