BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
2 c. vanilla wafers, crushed
2 sticks butter
2 eggs
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
5 or 6 bananas, split lengthwise
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1 c. chopped pecans
1 sm. jar maraschino cherries, drained

Melt 1 butter stick. Mix with crumbs. Press into 12 x 9 inch pan. Combine remaining butter with sugar and eggs; beat 15 minutes. Layer over crumbs; add bananas, then pineapple, then Cool Whip. Garnish with pecans and cherries. Chill at least 1 hour.
