BAVARIAN MINT PIE 
CRUST:

1 c. chocolate chips
1 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Line a 9 inch pie pan with aluminum foil. Melt chocolate chips with shortening. Add nuts. Spread on bottom and sides of pie pan. Chill until firm. Lift pie crust out of pan and peel off foil. Put pie shell back in pan.

FILLING:

1/2 lb. marshmallows
3/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
Few drops green food coloring
1 c. heavy whipping cream

Melt marshmallows with milk; cool completely. Then add peppermint extract and food coloring. Whip the cream until stiff. Fold into marshmallow mixture and spoon into pie shell.
