CHOCOLATE BUTTONS 
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Powdered sugar (to roll balls in)
7 oz. nonpareils

Cream together butter and sugar. Add melted chocolate, vanilla and eggs. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill dough for 30 minutes. Roll into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until edges are set. Remove from oven and immediately press one nonpareil into the center of each cookie. Let set 1 minute and remove from baking sheet. Makes approximately 5 dozen.
