CHICKEN STRATA 
4 slices white bread, butter 1 slice
1 c. diced cooked chicken
1 c. Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1 egg
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
3/4 c. milk

Cut buttered slice of bread in 1/2 inch cubes and the rest into 1 inch cubes. Place 1/2 of unbuttered cubes in bottom of casserole dish. Combine chicken, vegetables, mayonnaise and salt; pour over cubes. Put rest of cubes over mixture.

Combine egg and milk; pour over all. Pour soup over top and cover and chill for 1 hour or overnight. Put buttered bread cubes on top. Bake 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Put Cheddar cheese on last few minutes. Serves 4-5.
