1 pkg. active dry yeast 1 1/4 c. warm water 3 1/2-4 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt FILLING: 1/2 lb. spiced ham, sliced 1/2 lb. salami, sliced 1/2 lb. Polish sausage, sliced 6 American cheese slices 1 c. grated mozzarella cheese Mustard, yellow or brown Oregano Dough: Sprinkle yeast on warm water; stir to dissolve. Add 2 cups flour and the salt. Beat thoroughly. Stir in remaining flour. Turn onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Place in lightly greased bowl; turn dough over to grease top. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. Turn onto board and knead just long enough to force out large bubbles. Divide in half. Roll as directed in recipe. Makes 2. Filling: Roll out 1 piece of dough to 12 x 16 inches. Spread dough with mustard. Place in center down length of dough; layers of ham, American cheese, sausage, salami, grated cheese and oregano. Fold edges of dough over middle and seal with water. Place on sheet of lightly-oiled aluminum foil and wrap and seal by crimping edges of foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Open foil and bake another 10 minutes. |
