MERINGUE NUT CAKES | |
2 egg whites 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. sugar 2 c. chopped pecans Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Beat in salt, cream of tartar and sugar. Gently fold in pecans. Drop from a teaspoon onto a cookie sheet covered with brown paper. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen. |
