CRANBERRY CHRISTMAS SALAD 
1 (1 lb.) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 c. boiling water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 apple, diced

Heat cranberry sauce and strain, reserving liquid. Mix liquid, boiling water and Jello, stirring until completely dissolved. Add lemon juice and salt. Chill until slightly thickened. Add mayonnaise and beat until fluffy. Fold in cranberries, apples and nuts, and chill until slightly thickened. Pour into tubed Jello mold or into large crystal bowl. Chill until set.

If mold is used, when ready to serve, set mold in warm water and, unmold onto lettuce leaves, and put round candle in center ring. You can also use individual molds or orange juice cans and place red birthday candles in center. I use a crystal bowl because it is easier.
