BRAISED BEEF 
3 tbsp. bacon fat
3 lg. onions, chopped
2 lbs. lean stew beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. catsup
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. boiling water

Melt bacon fat, saute onions. Add beef and brown. When browned, add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, flour, catsup and vinegar. Pour boiling water over this, cover and simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
