STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
6 med. green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1/2 c. uncooked long grain rice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. shredded cheddar or American cheese

Cut off tops of peppers; clean insides and precook for 5 minutes in salted, boiling water. Sprinkle insides with salt after draining. Brown ground beef and onion with 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash of pepper. Stir in tomatoes, rice, 1/2 cup water and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in cheese, reserving a little to sprinkle over top. Stuff each pepper and place in a 10" x 6" x 1 1/2" dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
