BACON AND TOMATO SOUP | |
5 slices of bacon 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained and crushed 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth 1/8 tsp. pepper Fry bacon until crisp and drain. In 3 tablespoons of drippings, mix onions with flour and saute until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer 20 minutes. Sprinkle bacon over soup before serving. Makes 4 cups. |
