GERMAN COLD SALAD | |
1 lg. head cabbage, shredded 1 med. onion, finely cut 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. salad oil 3/4 c. vinegar 1 tsp. prepared or dry mustard 2 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. brown sugar Combine cabbage, onion and sugar. Let stand 1 hour. Mix remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over this cabbage mixture; cool. NOTE: this salad will keep for two days or longer. Yields: 8 to 10 servings. |
