2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa or 2 oz. bitter chocolate
3/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. broken nut meats

Place the sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa in saucepan. Stir this mixture over quick heat until sugar is dissolved. Permit the syrup to boil. Cook it slowly without stirring for 6 minutes. Stir in the vanilla and peanuts slowly. Drop the candy by the spoonful onto waxed paper.
