BEEF JERKY 
1 lb. boneless round steak
1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Freeze meat 1 hour to firm. Trim and discard fat. Cut into very thin slices. Place strips in single layer on wire rack in jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. Bake at 200 degrees about 6 hours until beef is dry. Cool and store in covered container in refrigerator. Makes 1/2 pound.
