Do you have to use chocolate chips? If not, would anything be taken away from the taste or texture?

Very yummy and easy but I think the batter more suited to cookies. They come out crunchy on top and chewy in the middle, like a cookie. They remedied me of those cookie cakes you can buy at the mall, just better tasting. Took 45 minutes as brownies, about 10 min as cookies. They disappear fast in my house as either. Son an hubby LOVE them.

It was so good. I added a chocolate peanut butter frosting to the top...A bit rich but great with a glass of milk.

Loved this recipe, however I cut the amount of sugar down significantly and used 1/2 cup of each and it still came out sweet enough. Keep in mind there is sugar in the peanut butter and chocolate chips. Just my personal preference I guess.

Extremely easy and delicious... it did take 45 minutes to cook.. But it was very moist and just the right amount of chocolateyness

WOW!! These are the BEST brownies I think I have ever made! I didn't have a large enough pan so I separated the batter into two pans- turned out fantastic anyway! These are definitely going to be regular treats in out house!

I just made these because my friend was craving brownies but we didn't want to get out to buy cocoa... I looked up a brownie recipe without cocoa and found this. I had all the ingredients, made them, and now they are gone. Great with a glass of milk!

These are really good, good pb flavor, very chewy. however I had to bake them for 45 minutes and let them set up before cutting. I baked them in a 9" round clear pyrex dish.

These brownies are delicious! I followed the recipe exact, at first I was worried they were too thick when I put them in the pan... but they were perfect! I followed with a peanut butter frosting, and chocolate drizzle. Yummy! I will definitely be making these again!
