1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground clove
1/4 tsp. mace
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. allspice
3/4 c. raisins

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add molasses and eggs. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir raisins into dry mixture. Add dry ingredients to molasses mixture. Spread evenly into greased 12 x 8 inch. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars.
