BANANA BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pinch salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
3 tbsp. buttermilk or sour cream
4-5 very ripe med. bananas (mashed with fork)
1 c. walnuts or pecans, optional

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and buttermilk. Add bananas and salt, then add baking powder to flour and mix with other ingredients gradually. If you use nuts add next and lastly add baking soda; mix well and divide into 3 small loaves or 2 regular loaf pans at 325 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Test with straw or thin knife.
