1 c. wheat flour (not self-rising)
1 c. sugar
4 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
1 tbsp. powdered alum
1 tsp. oil of wintergreen

Mix flour and sugar. Stir in cold water, stir in hot water, stir vigorously. Bring mixture to a boil; remove from heat. Add alum and stir. Add oil of wintergreen. Use with strips of newspaper. Makes 7 cups, lasts 2-3 weeks store in jar with tight lid.
