CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
12 pkg. sugar substitute, suitable for baking
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

In bowl, sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside. In another bowl cream together butter and sugar substitute. Add vanilla and egg; mix well. Add the dry ingredients; mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by teaspoonsful onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven, 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
