CHERRY BON-BONS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or cherry juice
1/2 c. crushed nuts (fine)
2 1/4 c. flour
16 oz. jar cherries

FROSTING:

Confectioner s' sugar
Dab of butter
(Cherry juice)

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add vanilla and butter, mix well. Add flour, mix well with lightly floured hands. Shape 1 teaspoon of dough into balls, flatten with thumb. Place cherry in center. Shape dough around cherry covering it completely. Bake on ungreased sheet at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Mix frosting with enough cherry juice to make a thin frosting.
