BROCCOLI BISQUE 
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 whole clove
1 tsp. ground pepper
1 c. chicken or beef broth
2 c. skim milk
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Place the broccoli, onion, clove, pepper and broth in a saucepan. Cover the pan and cook the broccoli until its very soft. Remove the clove. Process the broccoli and the liquid in an electric blender, then return it to the saucepan. Combine the skim milk and cornstarch into a smooth paste; stir into broccoli mixture. Heat, stirring constantly until the bisque has thickened. Serve at once. Serves 4-6.
