FRESH APPLE CAKE | |
1 c. Wesson oil 2 c. sugar 3 c. sifted flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 eggs, beaten lightly 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts 3 c. diced fresh apples (Winesap, Rome) Mix oil and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix. Then add dry ingredients and mix. Then add apples and nuts. This makes a very stiff batter. Pour into Bundt pan. Spray with Pam or Crisco. I sprinkle with sugar so the cake will not stick. Bake about 1 hour at 325°F. |
