HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. sliced onion 1/4 c. bacon drippings 3 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. water 1/3 c. vinegar 5 med. potatoes, cooked and cubed Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Saute celery and onion in bacon drippings until tender. Combine sugar, flour and seasonings; stir into drippings. Add water and vinegar, stirring until smooth. Bring to a boil; add potatoes and bacon. Mix thoroughly. |
