MAYONNAISE CAKE 
1 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sifted self-rising flour
2 egg yolks and mayonnaise to fill 3/4 c.
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water

Pour boiling water over raisins and soda, let cool. Add remaining ingredients in order listed. Bake in greased round cake pans (I line pans with waxed paper) at 375 degrees.

MAYONNAISE CAKE ICING:

4 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/3 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar

Save out egg whites; mix and cook cream of tartar, water and sugar until it spins a thread, pour over beaten egg whites and beat until very stiff.
