BRAISED SAUERKRAUT | |
1/4 c. butter 1 med. onion, chopped 3 c. sauerkraut, drained 2 c. beef bouillon 2 apples, sliced 2 slices bacon 1 potato, grated Melt butter in large skillet. Saute onion until golden brown. Stir in sauerkraut and apple slices. Pour in bouillon and place bacon slices on top. Cover; simmer for 30-40 minutes. Add grated potato and continue to simmer until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Remove bacon and serve hot. |
