CROCK-POT FRENCH TOAST | |
This is an easy recipe and a hit for my army of kids! It also makes house smell great. 1 loaf of bread (your favorite) 1 dozen eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 4 cups milk 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional) Use a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker. In slow cooker tear bread slices into big pieces. In large bowl whisk together rest of ingredients. Pour mixture over bread. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours. Note: Toast will be done when bread has soaked up all the liquid and eggs are cooked. Remove slow cooker lid for the last 30 minutes. Enjoy! Submitted by: Julie Wilfong |
