MILLIE'S WHITE MOUNTAIN FROSTING 
3 extra large egg whites
1 heaping c. of sugar
3 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. white vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. Mexican vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder

Whip egg whites to a peak and set aside. In a saucepan place your heaping cup of sugar (heaping is sugar to 1 cup level with a mountain peak from there). Add the water and white vinegar and stir. Place this over high heat. It will rise up but will subside to just a boil quickly. With a tablespoon filled pour it back into pan watching for mixture to string. Pour from a distance of 12 to 14 inches. A string resembles a wispy single spider web string. After it strings rewhip the egg whites to a peak begin to add slowly the sugar mixture to whipped egg whites. When all the mixture is added you may begin to add the baking powder and vanilla continue beating for 30 seconds or more. It is now ready to put on cake. Best if refrigerated.
