GINGER SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger

Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Blend in egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Blend on low speed. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll 1 1/2 inch balls in sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees on lightly greased cookie sheet.
