MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 lb. ground beef, browned
8 oz. sharp cheese, grated
Hot chili peppers (opt.)
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 (No. 2) can cream corn

Mix first 4 ingredients. Then mix remainder of ingredients; pour half of last mixture into cast iron skillet, then add meat mixture then the rest of the mixture. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
