PERSIMMON NUT BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn oil
2 eggs
1 c. persimmon
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Put soda in persimmons and let stand, while you mix all the other ingredients as follows: Mix sugar, eggs and oil; mix salt, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon in flour; add to above mixture; add the rest.

Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.

Makes 1 loaf or 3 mini-loaves.
