SAUSAGE ROLL 
2 lb. spicy sausage
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts drained, minced
1 tsp. basil
2 tbsp. finely minced onion
Paprika
1 to 2 long French rolls, split
Spicy brown or German mustard

Combine sausage, water chestnuts, basil and onion very well. Shape into rolls to fit French bread rolls. Arrange on a rack in a single layer in a baking dish and sprinkle generously with paprika. Bake in a preheated oven at 385 degrees for 15 minutes. Turn sausages and sprinkle again with paprika. Continue baking another 15 minutes or until done. Spread rolls with mustard and place sausage in rolls. Serve hot, sliced into bite sized slices. Serves 12.
