2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
5 cubes butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3 c. nuts
5 c. flour
2 sm. bags or 1 lg. bag of chocolate chips
1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugars. Slowly add remaining ingredients. Place on greased cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Makes approximately 5-6 dozen cookies.

Freezes well. Let cookies cool then freeze.
