CAROL'S POTATO CHIP COOKIES | |
1 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 c. nuts (walnuts, pecans, whatever) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. crushed chips Cream sugars and shortening together. Add eggs. Mix rest of ingredients in with mixture. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes at 350 degrees. HINTS: I bake "big" cookies, so I bake until entire cookie looks golden brown (longer than 12 minutes). Don't double recipe. Must bake or mix one recipe at a time. Freeze leftover potato chips to use for this recipe. Chips freeze great and come out crispy. The cookies freeze great, too! |
