AUNT RENE'S CARAMEL CORN 
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. salt
2 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
8 qts. "popped" corn

Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, salt and nuts in saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes. Add baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popped corn. Put n large roasting pan. Mix well. Place in 250 degree oven for one hour. Stir often while baking.
