BEACH HOUSE SQUARES 
CRUST:

10 tbsp. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
2 c. chopped nuts (8 oz.)

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
4 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

CRUST: cream shortening and brown sugar. Add flour and nuts. Set aside 2 cups mixture for topping, press remainder in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

FILLING: Blend sugar and cheese; add eggs, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Spread over bottom crust; sprinkle with reserved 2 cups topping and return to oven. Bake 25 minutes; cool, then chill and cut into squares.
