BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

Any of these recipes are fine but, use thick sliced bologna, roll it in flour and fry in a skillet before adding to bread. Choose your toppings!

In the south we like to fry our bologna in butter and onions. Then we drain the grease off, put the fried bologna on white bread that has dukes mayo on both sides.

Great recipe but here is how it's really done: Fresh wheat bread (two slices), Kahn's Bologna (two slices), Plochmans Mustard (applied liberally to the bread only) both slices, extra thick slices of a large sweet Georgia onion.

Place bread on plate, apply mustard to bread (never to bologna), separate and lay two slices of bologna on bread, lay onion on bologna, place second piece of bread on top of onion. Slice diagonally and enjoy!
Best Bologna sandwich ever!

I grew up on the old time fave - Bologna with ketchup on wonder bread...deelish!! However, you all should try this rendition: First, take your 2 slices of bread and replace them with a tortilla. Next, add cheese to the tortilla. Then replace the bologna with 2 spoonfuls of refried beans and add to the cheesy tortilla. Finally, roll up and nuke it for 45 seconds. Voila, bean burrito!!

p.s. I'm vegetarian now.

There is a joint in Waldo, Ohio that has become famous for their Bologna sandwiches. They have a very high quality bologna that is sliced about 3/4 in. thick. It is then deep fried until it is blackened. Customer can add any condiments he chooses such as rye bread, pickles, mustard, mayo, tomato, hot peppers...let your imagination be your guide. It is served with either fries or chips. And of course, a beer. This can be duplicated by frying in a skillet with butter but I would advise you to buy your bologna by the "stick" and don't skimp on the portion size. Yummmmmmm

This is the greatest day of my life, now I can make myself a Bologna sandwich! I've tried to make one before but I was making it in this order; mustard, bologna, bread, bread. It doesn't work well in that order. But now I have a recipe. Thank you.

I like to use white bread. Put mustard on one and mayo on the other. Pick either slice and add bologna (turkey, ham etc.), 1 slice of American cheese, lettuce, dill pickle, ruffles potato chips. Top with the other slice of bread!!! Good Stuff!!!

You have to add a biscuit fried egg and a slice of cheese... now that makes it a gourmet sandMich (not SandWich)... there's a difference! lol I'm loving these discussions about a bologna sandwich.

Its also GREAT with mayonnaise instead of mustard, and a big slice of onion (or just a few rings of onion) on top of the bologna. Use Whole Wheat Bread or a soft crusty-top roll. Accompany with potato chips and a large dill kosher pickle. Serve with ice cold Pepsi (or Coke). :)

Ahhh... good old bologna!! I like mine between 2 slices of white bread (very fresh) put a generous amount of mayo topped with tater chips (generous amount) and smush it down as flat as you can get it with the palm of your hand! Slice diagonally and enjoy!! I call this the Casey special!! Side note... wash your hands first, pleeezee! :)

My best friend and I created this sandwich when we were young and have loved it ever since. Similar recipe: bread, bologna, catsup on one side, mayo on the other, add American cheese, and you have an awesome sandwich!

I laughed so hard. These reviews are funny. We often took a bologna and mustard sandwich in our lunch. Once in awhile we were given money, and were able to purchase a cookie, and a soda. Once, my sister got a ketchup sandwich, "mom you forgot the meat." "no," said mom, "that's all we had." ha ha ha

Did anyone suggest bologna and grape jelly? My brother and I used to do this as a variation. We liked it. We also used to like grilled peanut butter sandwiches.
