THE REAL DEAL OLD-TIMEY POUND
CAKE
 
1 lb. butter (4 softened sticks: I use reduced fat)
1 lb. sugar (2 cups)
1 lb. eggs (10 beaten eggs: I use 2 cups egg beaters)
1 lb. flour (4 cups)
Enough flavoring extract of your choice to suit your taste

Cream butter and sugar. Add small amounts of the beaten eggs alternately with small amounts flour; mix just until blended. Add enough flavoring extract of your choice to suit your taste.

Bake in a well greased bundt pan at 300°F for 2 hours without opening the oven door. Serve warm with fat free cool whip.
