CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
5 c. oatmeal
2 c. (1 lb.) butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 c. nuts, chopped

In a blender, pulverize oatmeal - about 1/2 cup of a time. Then put into a large mixing bowl. Add flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

In separate bowl cream butter and sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.

Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well. Add Hershey bar (grated) and mix, then add chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake. Place on greased cookie sheet (golf ball size balls 2 inches apart) and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do Not Overbake.
