NORWEGIAN MEATBALLS AND GRAVY 
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 lb. ground pork
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
3/4 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. flour
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can water
1 tsp. pepper

Saute onions in shortening until soft. Combine meats and bread crumbs, milk, eggs and spices. Shape mixture into balls and brown in the shortening. Remove from skillet. Add flour, soup and water. Add meatballs and cook until done.
