JEWISH COFFEE CAKE | |
1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 lb. butter 6 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 pt. sour cream 3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nuts (crumb mixture). Set aside. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beat 1 minute after each egg. Sift all dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture on low speed. Add sour cream and vanilla. In greased tube pan, alternate layers of crumb mixture and cake mix, starting and ending with crumb mix. After cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. |
