GEORGIA PECAN PIE 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. butter
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Pastry for 9-inch pie

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, syrup and butter in 2-quart saucepan. Bring to boil on high, stirring constantly until butter is melted. Remove from stove and gradually add hot syrup to eggs. Stir all the while. Add pecans to mixture and cool to lukewarm. Add vanilla and pour into pie shell and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
