CALLAHAN CHILI 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 lg. onion (diced)
1 bell pepper (diced)
Crushed red peppers (dried, optional)
3 cans of pinto beans
4 cans of tomato sauce or lg. can tomato juice
1 can whole tomatoes
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 pkgs. McCormick chili mix

Brown beef, onions and bell pepper. Drain on paper towel and salt. Mix beef with remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 to 60 minutes. The longer it simmers, the hotter it gets.
