WALDORF WHIP 
1 pkg. lemon Jello
1 c. boiling water
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 c. apples, chopped
Lettuce
Walnuts and apples, sliced

Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and blend. Chill in refrigerator on bowl of ice water until mixture is the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.

While Jello is chilling, pour evaporated milk into a bowl large enough to whip it in. Put beaters in bowl (standing) also to chill in freezer until soft crystals form around its edges. Add mayonnaise, celery, nuts, and apples to Jello mixture. Mix well.

Beat evaporated milk until stiff in a chilled bowl with an electric mixer. Add remaining 2 tablespoons lemon juice and whip until very stiff. Fold into Jello mixture. Pour into a well-oiled mold. Chill until firm. Unmold on lettuce, and garnish with nuts and apple slices.
