YORKSHIRE PUDDING | |
1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, well beaten 1 c. milk Use with a beef roast. Use only beef fat to cook with. When roast is done, reserve 3 tablespoons drippings. Heat oven to 500 degrees. Place drippings in a 9"x9" pan. Place in oven until fat begins to smoke. Remove from oven, pour batter into pan. Bake at 500 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat. Bake for 10 minutes longer. Remove from oven and cut in squares. Serve with beef, vegetables and gravy. This recipe is 100 years old. |
