MUSSELS FREDSO 
2 lbs. mussels
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Several slices of Swiss cheese
Salt
Pepper
Thyme

Wash mussels in lightly salted water and remove threads. Steam mussels in saucepan with enough water to cover. When mussels open, remove and place on baking tray. Fill each mussel with tomato sauce flavored with pinch of salt, pepper and thyme. Cover each mussel with pieces of Swiss cheese. Bake in oven at 300 degrees until cheese melts. Use broth for bread dip. Italian or French bread recommended. Serves 4.
