MAMA'S APPLE ROLL-UPS 
2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 apples, chopped
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. milk to moisten (approx.)

Chop apples. Make rich biscuit dough. Boil water and sugar 5 minutes. Roll out dough, put apples on it and roll up like a cinnamon roll. Pour syrup in baking dish and place rolls in syrup. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 425 degrees for about 45 minutes. Serves 8.
