MIRACLE FRUIT PIE | |
1 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1 c. flour 2 c. drained fruit, peaches, cherries, berries or plums, save juice for sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 3 tsp. butter 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder Melt butter in deep pie pan in oven. Make batter of milk, sugar, flour, salt and baking powder. Place in pan with butter. Dip drained fruit over top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees until firm, 30 minutes. Fruit will go to bottom. For Sauce: Use juice from fruit, 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, salt to taste. Make sauce of these ingredients. Boil until thickened. Pour over cobbler after it is served in dishes. |
