NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER | |
6 slices bacon (fried & cut up) 1 lg. onion (diced & cooked in bacon drippings) 2 c. (cooked, chopped) potatoes 1 1/2 c. water 1 bottle clam juice 3 cans minced clams 2 c. half & half Heat water and clam juice for about 10 minutes; add potato, bacon, onion and minced clams. Cook 20 minutes. Slowly add half & half and heat. Add pat of butter. Do Not Boil, it will curdle. |
