LAYERED TACO SPREAD | |
1 (16 oz.) refried beans 1/2 c. taco sauce 3/4 c. Kraft sharp cheese 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, soft 1/4 c. sour cream 3 tbsp. Kraft mayonnaise 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 lg. avocado, seeded & peeled 1 med. onion 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tomato, seeded & chopped 1/2 c. sliced pitted ripe olives 1/2 c. sliced green onions Tortilla chips Hot sauce 1. Stir together refried beans, taco sauce and several dashes hot sauce. 2. Spread the refried beans evenly on bottom of pan (rectangular). 3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over beans. 4. In small bowl combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and garlic powder; beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cheese. 5. Cut avocado into small pieces. In a blender blend avocado, onion and lemon juice. Spread avocado mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. 6. Sprinkle avocado with chopped tomato, sliced olives, sliced green onions and remaining cheese. If desired, drizzle with additional taco sauce. Apply cover and chill 4 hours. When serving garnish with celery leaves and jalapeno peppers. Serve with tortilla chips placed in the tray. Serves 10. |
